President Hanycz, Xavier community members named C-Suite Awards finalists This week, Xavier President Colleen Hanycz will earn recognition as one of Cincinnati's top executives, as she and a host of other University-affiliated business leaders are honored as finalists for the Cincinnati Business Courier’s annual C-Suite Awards. The Courier lists Dr. Hanycz as one of 16 finalists in the Chief Executive Officer category, receiving the nomination for her leadership in executing Xavier's current strategic plan — Xavier at 200: The Greater. The Better. The More. — spearheading plans to establish the nation's first Jesuit College of Osteopathic Medicine and overseeing record-breaking fundraising, with Xavier securing the four largest gifts in its history during the past two years. Additionally, Dr. Hanycz's recent appointment to chair the BIG EAST Conference's next strategic planning effort, as well as her appointment to the NCAA Infractions Appeal Committee, helped earn her a C-Suite Award nomination. Another finalist in the CEO category is Xavier Trustee Jeff Berding, who co-founded Major League Soccer club FC Cincinnati. Berding joined Xavier's Board of Trustees in July. Read more >>
